- This Genesis application is about the Romans, concentrating on their
- time in Britain. It is designed for use at Key Stage 2 although the
- amount of text may make it unsuitable for children who are still
- developing readers.
-
- The file is NOT PD. It is provided to you for copying and Administrative
- costs by both the Archive Genesis column and APDL. It should not have
- been provided by ANY other PD library without my written consent. My
- writtem consent is pretty freely given but does require some sort of
- trade - after all I did spend about a month researching and creating
- this database!
-
- To the best of my knowledge the art contained within the application is
- public domain or freely copiable. If this is NOT the case please let us
- know immediately so the pieces can be removed. As anyone using public
- domain art will probably know - making sure of its authenticity as PD is
- fraught with difficulty. If we have inadvertently used one of your
- pieces of art, please accept our apologies. Remember though that this
- application is being distributed freely - we're not getting any return
- from it!
-
- You will need to install this application on to a hard disc to use it
- realistically. There is just too much information to try and use it from
- within ArcFS! As a recomendation you will also need a 2mB Arc as Genesis
- uses a lot of modules. The compressed !System directory contains the
- most up to date modules which should be copied to your system library.
-
- For those that are interested we also have a Genesis application dealing
- with the Vikings which is a commercial product available from Northwest
- SEMERC, covering the Vikings in Britain, complete with art, worksheets
- and multimedia database.
-
- Also available (directly from us) is a Time Traveller file for the ESM
- program of the same name, dealing with the Romans from Romulus to the
- end of the empire.
-
- It would be nice if you could pass on positive comments to your local
- school about the iTa offerings, especially if they then ask me to come
- and do some training for them!!
